What is AWS Class ER90S-B9 MIG and TIG Filler Metal ?

The high-quality AWS Class ER90S-B9 MIG and TIG filler rods and welding wires are intended to be used in very rigorous welding processes. Their normal chemical base is about 0.10-0.18 percent carbon, 1.50- 1.80 percent manganese, 0.70- 1.00 percent silicon, low in sulfur and phosphorus which provides a high quality in weld. They are mechanically very good as they have tensile strength of approximately 620750 Mpa and yield strength of 520580 Mpa, good elongation(20-25%), and toughness. The properties are able to produce high crack-resistant welds that use structural steel and heavy fabrication, giving high performance in both the TIG and MIG welding process.
