What is AWS Class ENiFe-Cl Coated Electrodes?
AWS Class ENiFe-Cl Coated Electrodes are composed primarily of nickel (Ni) and iron (Fe) with trace elements such as carbon, manganese, and silicon, offering balanced weldability and strength. The coating ensures smooth arc stability and slag removal. Mechanically, these electrodes provide tensile strength of around 480–620 MPa, good elongation (18–22%), and excellent machinability. They exhibit high crack resistance and strong fusion with cast iron, making them suitable for joining or repairing gray and malleable cast irons under demanding industrial applications.
